Mid-Atlantic wind power deal signed
(Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: Sun, 04 Feb) Pine-based US Wind Force LLC has signed a joint venture deal with independent power producer Edison Mission Energy to develop up to 1,000 megawatts of wind power in the Mid-Atlantic region.

European wind power
(E4: Engineering: Fri, 02 Feb) The market for European wind power capacity broke new records in 2006, according to the annual statistics issued by the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA). 7,588 MW of wind power capacity, worth some '¬9 billion, was installed last year in the EU, an increase of 23% compared to 2005.
