The trial concluded that a combination of solar cells and wind turbines can generate 1,200 watts in a continual cycle; enough to drive a mid-sized BTS and support a microwave backhaul installation.

Wind knocks out Indiana power (Indiana Statesman: Mon, 04 Dec) By The Associated Press Winds gusting more than 50 mph blew over semitrailers and knocked down power lines across Indiana on Friday as the state avoided the worst of a storm that dumped more than a foot of snow elsewhere in the Midwest.
