(International Herald Tribune: Mon, 04 Dec) Spain will cut subsidies to wind-power plants following an overhaul of the way it calculates aid for renewable power sources, hurting earnings at utilities including Iberdrola, the world's largest producer of wind power.

Wind knocks out Indiana power
(Indiana Statesman: Mon, 04 Dec) By The Associated Press Winds gusting more than 50 mph blew over semitrailers and knocked down power lines across Indiana on Friday as the state avoided the worst of a storm that dumped more than a foot of snow elsewhere in the Midwest. A wind gust toppled a tree onto a mobile home in Greencastle, midway between Terre Haute and Indianapolis, the National Weather Service said.
